Hi, I'm Erika and I'm a Recovering Course Addict

 (and this is the part where you all chime in and welcome me...right?!)

Good grief, if I had a dollar for every course, masterclass, or freebie I’ve downloaded, I could probably…just buy another course.

Seriously. My Google Drive looks like the clearance rack at TJ Maxx. Piled high, lots of potential, but let’s be honest—I’m really not using even half of it.

And if you’re nodding along right now? Know that you’re not alone and that course addiction happens to the best of us!

Here’s what I've learned on my road to recovery:

Turns out...you don’t need more courses—you need community!

We don’t struggle because we don’t have enough information.
We struggle because we’re trying to figure it all out alone.

I used to think the next course would finally unlock clarity for me. The next freebie would solve my marketing problems. The next expert would give me a 3-step formula that actually worked during my work session in the car at volleyball.

But when I look back, you know what has really changed my business?

The conversations. The check-ins. The people.

💙 The mom who said, “Try this instead—it worked for me.”
💙 The friend who asked, “Did you ever follow up with that lead?”
💙 The community that celebrated my messy first offer (shoutout to the amazing founding members of the WMSA Business Owners Community!), not just the highlight reel wins.

That’s what moved the needle for me. Not another password-protected portal gathering dust.

Here’s the thing:

Most of us already know what we should be doing.

• Post

• Nurture

• Show up

• Set boundaries

But doing it solo? That’s where we stay stuck.

Community is what shifts everything.

The right community, anyway. One that…

• Sees your motherhood and your ambition as strengths, not roadblocks

• Cheers for your first workshop, your 5-figure launch, and the field trip you chaperoned in between

• Walks beside you while you actually implement (not just while you binge-watch)

That’s exactly why Working Moms of San Antonio exists.
